Weekend Finish #1

I pieced this top  in October 2010.  It sat, hidden away in the guest room closet with many (no counting today) other tops.  It might have remained there for some time yet, but the Deadline approaches.  Yes, this quilt has a home and needs to be delivered in May.

So, I did some simple, straight line quilting and got the binding wrapped up this weekend.

It is a large throw–about 60″ x 80″–maybe even a twin bed top. Scrappy and cheerful.  I hope she likes it.

The back is the same white-with-black print as the stripes. Many of the squares are Mary Engelbreit scraps I was given, with some coordinating stuff thrown in.  The black and white print piece had no selvege, so I don’t know what it is, but I sure like it.

Yes, it was snowing and Husband and Young Son were being brave quilt models.  Barefoot.  *shake head*
