Thread Head Top FINISHED!

Oh, I am so excited.  It has been a long time in the making with several detours along the way, but here it is.

I am so pleased with the border.  It was practically a whole quilt on its own, but all 840 pieces (or something close to that) were worth it.  There was a question about how to do the corners.  There is probably a better way, but this is what I came up with.

The quilt is intended for Young Son’s 14th birthday, which is next February, but one has to plan these things in advance.  It gives me a lot of time to get it quilted.

Thank you, Joanne, for an amazing quilt along.  I couldn’t have done it without you.  (If you are interested in this quilt, the directions are still posted on her blog.)

  1. That is simply amazing and the border is perfect for it. I hope your son appreciates all the work that went into it – if not right now, maybe when he’s older.
