It’s Mini!

Temecula Quilt Company sponsored a 12-days of Christmas Mystery Mini Quiltalong.  Darling 3″ blocks.  Who wouldn’t want to try?  I hauled out a bag of matching scraps (Thank you, Carol) and decided to give it a go.

In the end, I didn’t exactly quilt along.  Block one was a single patch, which was nice, but I traded it out for a tiny churn dash.

Also, the straight setting and wide borders was traded for an on point setting with alternating squares and no borders.

I plan to make another one and write it up as a tutorial if you would like to give it a try.  Finished size about 13×17.  Quick.  Fun.  Cute!

  1. it would make a beautiful placemat…love the colors..would like the tutorial too…thanks for letting us know about that..

  2. I finished the blocks but didn’t care much for them put together with sashing. I might take it apart and redo on point as you did.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It is nice to hear from you.
