So…What Have I Been Doing This Week?

Well, there has been quite a bit of this (The annual Big Clean of the rooms of Young Son and Daughter).

And some of this (That is what the results of a gas leak look like.  One of THREE discovered in my home on Wednesday.  Very long story, but all is well that ends well.)

And some of this.

And all of that adds up to essentially NO SEWING AT ALL!

But, I have hopes for the weekend.

There is a great value in hope.  It carries me through sew-less days.

  1. no sewing?!? you must be going through withdrawal…I get to sew 1.5 days per week…believe me when Saturday gets here every week I HAVE to get to sewing by hand or machine just to feel I’ve accomplished something…yeah I know cleaning, washing and all that other mommy stuff is an accomplishment but it has to be done…sewing on the other hand wants to be done…:) hope you get to sew soon!

  2. Yikes! Glad y’all are all safe. Here’s hoping you find lots of sewing time this weekend. You’ll have to fill all the empty spaces with new fabric! 🙂 I take a huge Rubbermaid container to the thrift store almost every week and I can not figure out why I do’nt have any extra space!

  3. Some weeks are like that—-life gets in the way of sewing. At least son and daughter have nice clean rooms and no more worries about gas leaks. Have a good week-end.

  4. your week was kinda like mine—only i did not have a gas leak or three!!!! i am so glad they were found before anyONE was hurt..but sometimes life does get in the way ….i hope to get a little sewing done in the next few days too..have not done any in the last few and i am suffering withdrawal for sure..

  5. Oh, gosh, I hope you get to sew! I have only put 20 blocks together this week, and it’s been a week of car fixing, and then . . . car trading! Temple today – 7 hours of driving, so I’m wiped out. Tomorrow is a shop hop day. It seems so weird there was almost no sewing!

  6. Glad the gas leak was fixed, most important of all. I think that annual clean of the kids rooms is the best idea I’ve ever seen. I wish I had known about it when my kids were still at home. No wood chopping here. I love the instant heat from gas and needed at the moment. We have had some nasty cold days of late.
I hope you get some sewing done soon. It is a long weekend here for the Queens birthday and I have Sunday and Monday all to myself. The kids have plans and my husband goes back to Sydney early to-morrow. Woopie for me and I intend to do nothing but sew.

  7. I hope and pray too! May your troubles leave as quickly as they arise and may you once again be able to sew, sew sew!!! I really enjoy your blog, keep up the great work!!!

  8. I took a week off sewing so I could get some heavy duty housework done, but now I’m ready to get back to my at-least-once-a-day habit.

Glad the gas leak was taken care of – that sounds serious.
