Have you heard about Phoenix Quilts?
Julie, that amazing woman, has decided that everyone who lost a home in this year’s horrible wildfires needs a quilt. That is A LOT of quilts! That is 743 quilts.

i had not heard of this and it is wonderful..we had wildfires in our own Upper Peninsula of Michigan so i am going to try to find out if this is also being done here in MI but i will send some tops to this group..thanks for letting us know..i feel so bad for those people..
Merrie – I will do some research for you about the fires in Michigan and let you know. Right now we are covering the Western United States . . . Maybe we need to expand to cover the whole United States???
Deanna! You crack me up! 🙂 I’m not the amazing woman, it’s those who are sending in quilts — like yourself — that are!!! Thank you for helping me spread the word about Phoenix Quilts! Hugs!
I’m not surprised that this got started. That is just an example of what the generous- hearted quilters do. I’ve sent the site to the quilt shops in my area, as well as friends who will get it to their churches. Great idea!
I have! And I have some stuff scheduled for the post office next week, after girls camp.
So sad to see the devastation. I will certainly send a quilt over. Thanks for letting me know about the quilt drive.
