Surprised But Pleased

Husband was reading the local newspaper Sunday morning and suddenly let out a guffaw and then started chuckling and shaking his head.  “Read this,” he said, handing Section B of the paper, the local section, to me.  There, on the front page, was this article: A Young Entrepreneur Worth A Look

We met Mrs. Trentelman on the first trip to the local market with Daughter.  She returned, with husband in tow, last Saturday. He visited with both of us for a while.  She bought a quilt.

As he walked away he said, “That is a remarkable daughter you have there.  I would wish her luck, but I don’t think she needs it.  She is making her own.”

Thank you, Mr. Trentelman, for thinking my daughter’s story was worth a story.

  1. That is so awesome that she was featured like that! Here’s hoping that it generates more interest in her and her amazing quilt prowess, too!

  2. That’s wonderful! This is how it all started for my sister…she sold her art work at local craft shows starting in highschool, which lead to newspaper articles and further demand for her work. She became a prefessional artist and has done very well. You never know where this could lead! Way to go, Abigail!

  3. how great is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i am proud of you and husband first for raising her to be the talented entrepenuer that she is and i am proud of her for using the God given/ mother helping talent that she is!!! i hope she goes all the way—and is the engineer she aspires to be!!! she will be!!!! she’s got a lot of talent!!!!
