Time to reveal the mystery project…

Ta-dah!  or Not…

I am not sure how I feel about it.  It is so…different.

The quilt is based on the Quasar block I designed a few years ago.  I have been dithering along with it since then.  Finally, here we are. The top is about 60″ x 80″.

Now what?  I don’t really know…

  1. I wasn’t sure either with the first picture a few days ago ( week or so ?) but now that I see the whole top…I love it!

  2. Fabulous! I think this is definitely a modern quilt, but it’s one I really love. Now what – you quilt it of course! =)

  3. I love this quilt! I can see why it might not be spot in the middle of your comfort zone, but that makes it even more special! Love the use of light and dark strips and the way that the quasar blocks seem to flow across the quilt. It’s just lovely. Thanks for the inspiration!

  4. I think this one is very cool! Some quilting rays would look great coming off the stars into the strips…and some curlyques on the stars would give it an “in the universe,,,beyond the stars” …racing through the galaxy look. It really is cool!

  5. I think it’s awesome! I love the different approach to setting these star blocks. I love the low volume vs. bright strips pieced on the diagonal. I’d love to make one!

  6. I like your use of the darks and lights in the strips, they definitely do their job. I like the way you staggered the quaser blocks and varied their numbers. They remind me of bright points of color rolling through the sky. Nice finish…..and alot of work!

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It is nice to hear from you.
