There are probably other projects I should have been working on, but I had a new idea. So, I had to see what it would look like.
For now, it is called “Cross My Heart.” This isn’t a great picture, particularly against the light floor. Also, binding will change the look a lot. That said, what do you think? Should the heart be larger? Or sort of a surprise waiting to be discovered?
Love it, the way it is.
Ditto — I like it just the way it is!
Beautiful! I wouldn’t change a thing. Just add the borders, and you have a winner! I don’t know how you designers do it…I don’t have a creative gene in my body. It amazes me – some of the designs people come up with, seemingly without a second thought! Enjoy your creativity, and those of us who have none will do our best to follow your instructions so we have pretty stuff too!! 🙂
Until I read what you wrote I did not see the heart. I like the design
I love the quilt with the heart! The title is perfect! If the hidden heart bothers you, you could move it down into the white area. However, when you quilt it you can make it pop out of the checkered area it’s now in.
I love that little surprise of finding the heart!
I was looking at the photo first and then ooh! Spotted the heart – which is great the way it is. Subtle and a nice surprise. Not hidden, not too big. Just right. 😀
Oooh!! How cool it is!! Love it! I wouldn’t change it at all. Great job!! 🙂
The heart is a perfect size!
Looks good.
Don’t change a thing! That is super cute.
I did not notice the heart until I read your post. I like the heart just the way it it. It makes a fun surprise. Love your creativity. Thanks for sharing.
Maybe lighter background on heart so it pops more, otherwise it is great.
love the surprise, One of my favorite memories at Gramma’s was to find special fabrics in log cabins or trip quilts–she was scrappy before it was cool!
YES!
Looks awesome!; however,
I do vote for a larger heart. It took me a few minutes to discover why you named it as you did …
I didn’t realize it was there until your post mentioned it, and then I really had to search to find it. I like the size, but a lighter background would make it a little more noticeable, while still not having it jump out. Or it’s good as is. =)
Staying true to the name, maybe the heart should be tucked beneath the horizontal and vertical rows where they cross! I love all the colors and simplicity of the design.
I really like it as it is! If the heart was to much bigger it would be awkward to the size of the blocks. I didn’t see it when I first looked, but then I always scan through to see the colors and patterns, and detail, and there it was, a nice surprise! Then when I got to the end and heard the name I had to rescan it for the cross! And of course I have to ask the overall size, and the size of the blocks. Nice idea! You are on a roll!
Love the surprise – so special!
What a sweet idea! And, yes, I think the heart should be a bit bigger.
I like it the way it is. I Love it.
I like it just the way it is also, the surprise of finding the heart. Looking forward to seeing it with the binding.
I like the look of this. Not sure how big it is, but I make most of my blankets for babies 40”-45” wide by 50”-60” long. That way they don’t outgrow the quilts to fast. Loisjean
The heart is perfect! What a cute surprise.
