Star Kissed Quiltalong: Another Layout

How are you doing with your Star Kissed blocks?  Remember there is no hurry, but I do like to know how it is going and if there is anything I can do to help.

Today I am sharing another option for your blocks.  (Information on the entire quiltalong HERE.) Since the quilt is designed in four different block sizes, I decided to make four different quilts to show some ideas that might work for you.

These blocks are based on 1-1/2″ squares.  Four of them, with triple sashing (also based on 1-1/2″) makes a 37″ baby quilt or table topper.  Of course, feel free to add more blocks.  I think it would make a striking bed quilt.

Keep stitching!

  1. This layout is really beautiful. And, since I am using 1 1/2 inch squares, it works great for me. I notice that you are using solids. Do you think using prints would be too much?

  2. Hi Deanna! Oh, this quilt is so darn cute. I love all the different colors and the borders with sashing really make it just perfect for me. Yup. If you don’t have a plan for it, I’ll give it a great home. And if you do, then I guess I’ll just have to make my own. I LOVE every.single.thing.about.it. ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. It is very pretty. (Too small! Too small! screams my head.) I like the brightness of it for a child, too. Since I got the longarm, I haven’t made any blocks or parts, until this last week – and that was only one block and part of one! So I still have 5 centers and still haven’t found my four patches.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It is nice to hear from you.
