Because life is life, I didn’t get to sew as much as I hoped for either the Friday Night Sew In (FNSI) or National Quilting Day.
At first, probably because, again, life is life, I couldn’t even settle in. I cleaned. I sorted. I moved fabric around.

Finally, I decided to choose backs for a few charity baby quilt tops recently finished.

Then I worked for a while on a new baby quilt project, also for charity.
And that was about it.
But, any sewing is better than no sewing, and my room is in better shape.
Very nice!
I always am impressed by the great color choices you make when creating your quilts! Once I finish quilting the donation quilt I’m working on, I will definitely straighten up my sewing space. Somehow I’ve “lost” one of my new quilting gloves. Good thing I didn’t throw out the old ones!
That orange fabric with stars on it is fabulous. It looks great with the quilt top! Someone will be thrilled to receive such a pretty and colorful quilt. ~smile~ Roseanne P.S. I sent out an envelope this morning heading your way with heart blocks. You should have it by the end of the week!
Your fabric choices are amazing.
Some days/weeks/months are like that. =) At least you did something, and that moves things along somewhere. =)
Sounds like a good day, & the result was a more organized space. I so long for a similar space here. One of my goals is to acquire a permanent space out back in our shed, after I can get electricity & insulation in there. Then I’ll be clearing out all my sewing things to the shed. How sweet that would be. A lot less cluttered spaces in the various rooms here in the house. Hubby just nixed my semi-plan to use the shed. Oh well!
Any time spent in our sewing room is a good time. I love that orange fabric you selected for the baby quilt. So cheerful and matches up with top perfectly!
I have been sorting and filling boxes of fabric for our Linus group. Needs to be done. But now I need a break and find my machine! Need to sew!!!
Any sewing is always good!
