Welcome Home #3

Hopefully you aren’t tired of seeing them, because I am not tired of making them.

It is so easy to take 2-1/2″ strip leftovers, or to cut some from scrap, and before you know it, TA-DAH, you have a quilt!

And, as was pointed out by a reader, no background fabric is needed. Just happy-scrappy beauty.

No one will be bored sleeping under or snuggling in this quilt.

  1. I have found bunches of those strips in my scrap boxes. I may be ready to do something besides wonky long cabins for a while! This one looks even better than the first two.

  2. Very happy & scrappy! I think the binding and the backing are great, too. Need to start cutting scraps so I can make my own.

  3. The minute I saw it, I knew that was going to be next.. and… a friend just brought a shopping bag stiffed with her strips that she was tired of.this s exciting!

  4. Hi Deanna,
I’m finally going through my stash. I’d like to send you some of my scrap fabrics if that’s ok with you? I know you do a lot of scrappy quilts. Me not so much. I will not be offended if you want to decline. Also I have a fair amount of southwest themed fabrics. I’ve made several quilts out of it but I went overboard on my purchases. I did most of them using the turning twenty pattern so much of the fabric is cut into those sizes required for the pattern. Again, feel free to decline. If interested please send me your address and I’ll get it in the mail to you sometime this week or next. Depends on how quickly I get through it. Organizing my stash is way overdue…

    Warm regards,
    Stephanie Petrick
