Since I already have FOUR quilts in progress, I really should have used my extended sewing time today to work on them. And I did. A little.

But then I heard the call of the scraps. I received these beauties recently and even had an idea of what I wanted to do with them.

A whole lot of cutting later I had a pile of small pieces that will be thrown away.

And an entire quilt kit, ready to use. As soon as I finish at least one of the four. Probably…
Pretty fabrics! Can’t wait to see what you make. I’m the same way with many projects started at once and more being kitted up because I “just have to make this now.” I tend to get things to the quilting stage and stop because that’s my least favorite part. I’m not very good at that part and am afraid that I’ll mess it up. I did just finish up my Vintage Bathing Suit mini quilt yesterday, though.
I’m not sure what it is about “new” scraps that pulls instant action priorities, but I often feel it too.
I’ll look forward to seeing what you make with them. I’ve been trying to kit up the scraps that people gave me last year so that I won’t have so many paper bags lying about. I just cut a bunch for “Welcome Home” blocks.
What a great job. What is the name of the pattern or do you have a picture of one you’ve already completed, looks fun? Thank you, Cindy Nelson

Ha ha, I saw at least two pieces in the throw away pile that would still be useful. LOL This is going to be great and a pins-and-needles wait.
