UFO Giveaway Announcement

Last week WeddingDressBlue sponsored a 6-part giveaway of UFO projects.  So much fun!

So far have heard back from three of the winners.  It is possible, given some problems I have noticed with my e-mail lately, that the announcements to the other winners have gone to Spam Folders or something similar.  Anyway, if you are one of the other winners, or know how to get a hold of the other winners, please let me know.  If I do not hear back, I will select new winners this week and get the prizes in the mail.

UFO Giveaway #1: Dollhouse Quilt Kit.  I HAVE NOT heard yet from Collettia.

UFO Giveaway #2:  Home is Where the Heart is Quilt Kit.  I HAVE NOT heard yet from Luann Leaders.

New-FO Giveaway #3:  Patterns.  CONGRATULATIONS to Cindy.  Yours is on the way.

UFO Giveaway #4: Scraps, Blocks and Yardage.  CONGRATULATIONS to Terri.  Yours is on the way.

UFO Giveaway #5: Hoys Tree Farm Quilt Kit.  I HAVE NOT heard yet from Barbara Gaddy.

UFO Giveaway #6. Cardinal in the Pines Quilt Kit.  CONGRATULATIONS to Stitcher!

In the process of all this, I learned that MY email is sending a large number of comments to Spam since sometime about mid-November.  If you haven’t heard from me, that might be why.  I hope I have it straightened out and will be able to sit down and reply to your kind wishes next week once classes are out and I have some breathing space.  Happy Holidays!

UFO Giveaway #5: Hoys Tree Farm

**THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.  THANKS TO ALL WHO ENTERED.***

Recently I inherited part of a quilters stash.  Much of it was received with joy.  However, not all of it is things that I will use in the near future.  These UFO’s deserve a home where they will be loved and used.  Like YOURS!

Giveaway #5 is a Hoys Tree Farm quilt kit.  Finished size 84×96.  Appears to be a complete kit including fabric and pattern, as far as I can tell.  Many of the tree applique pieces are cut with fusible web attached and ready to go.  The fabric also appears to mostly be cut.  It is organized and labeled.  Hopefully it will still be that way when it gets to you.

If this is something you would love, please leave a comment below.  I will draw a winner Saturday, December 6.

If you can afford to help with postage, that would be great.  This should fit in a medium priority mail box, which costs $14.35.  I will get it in the mail as soon as possible after the end of the giveaway.

Pre-Loved Quilt WINNER

The winner of the pre-loved quilt is Nancy.  She blogs at https://wyomingbreezes.blogspot.com/  and really does live in Wyoming.  Also, a retired teacher.  I hope she will love the quilt as much as I have.

There were so many entries for this giveaway that I plan to do it again next time I redecorate a space.  Quilters “get it” and I know the quilt will be taken care of.

Thank you all.

Pre-loved Quilt Seeks New Home: A GIVEAWAY

*****Nancy is the lucky winner.  This giveaway is now closed*****

The O-Kaffe top is a flimsy–pictures coming soon.  To celebrate our redecorating adventure, I have decided that our previous throw quilt and pillows deserve a new home.

It is a This and That quilt by Aunt Em’s Quilts.  I built it while pattern testing for Emily in 2012.  The quilt finishes at about 56″ x 73″  Included are the covers for three matching 14″ throw pillows (not the forms–too bulky to ship efficiently).

Here is a picture of how they looked in our room.

The quilt has been loved and washed, I think, three times–it just came out of the dryer for this picture.

If you would like this quilt to come and live at your house, please let me know in the comments below.  The giveaway is open until this Saturday night, August 5.  I will notify the winner (determined by random drawing) and announce it here on the blog Monday morning.

Maybe it is strange to give away a pre-loved quilt.  But if you don’t mind having one that is pre-loved, I am happy to share it with you.
