Irish Stars: Check In

How is your Irish Stars quilt coming along?

IrishStarsButton

Mine is…coming…slowly.  But, I knew it would.  One does not finish 361 blocks in a day, or even a week, or even a year.  I am at 82 blocks, and loving every one of them.  It is very satisfying to see my small stack grow larger.

Anyway, please feel free to comment below or to send pictures (weddingdressblue at gmail dot com).  I will share all pictures received in a post early next week so we can continue to cheer each other on.

Remember:  NOT A RACE.  Just like-minded people sewing along together.

I look forward to hearing from you.

  1. Ha, ha, zip progress. I haven’t forgotten, there’s just been so much else going on – I might not even make 350 blocks this year, and I know you are way past it! That’s okay, in other news, I only have 4 feet left to bind on the Calico (Desert) Rose quilt!

  2. Hi, from Sweden. Wonderful job you are doing. Very inspiring. I’m working on your Calico Rose and “Odd up” as leader/ender. Fabulous way of using scraps. Will send som pictures later on.

  3. I haven’t been able to work on my Irish Stars top for the past few weeks, been too busy with other things. I do have 18 out of 25 or maybe 32 of the chain blocks done I haven’t decided how many I’m making yet. I still haven’t started on the star blocks. I’m hoping to get back to sewing after October is done and gone.

  4. This is a beautiful quilt. Thank you so much for sharing the pattern with us. I can’t start now…having surgery next week, but have printed off the instructions for later. You have given super clear instructions and I commend you for this! Can’t wait to start this, probably in the new year. Simply gorgeous!

Thanks for taking the time to comment. It is nice to hear from you.
