Sparkle Jane and I have a goal: 52 baby quilts in 2015. Ambitious? YES! But, together we can do it. We plan to give away some to family and friends. Sparkle Jane will likely sell a few. But, whatever remains at the end of 2015 will be donated to Primary Childrens Medical Center where Sparkle had heart surgery in January 2013. She wants to give back. I want to help her.
While she and I will do individual posts of the quilts as they are finished, I will also keep a running record here.

Love the two you have done 🙂 that’s quite a bit to plan on doing but I’m sure you both will accomplish! I’m going to keep track and snap a few pics of what I finish in 2015 too, very good idea. I never remember what I finish through out the year lol I want to do some charity quilts this year! I can’t wait 🙂 have been checking into a few this past week, I’m very excited. Wishing you all best in 2015!!
What a wonderful goal. 52 beautiful quilts that will bring smiles to 52 hearts. I consider myself blessed to be able to read about these quilts and hope to make a few along with you and Sparkle Jane. Thanks Deanna and Sparkle Jane for sharing your quilting journey.
beautiful!!!! I just completed a granny square afghan for my daughter and just completed the Stutter Step quilt top…keep up the good work and you will get your 52 done..what a great idea…
Think I will join you with a modified version of this challenge. Am a hand sewer so my goal will be 14 quilts. Have a few other donation projects going on but think I can work these right in with them. Thanks for the idea and look forward to your great ideas.
Fantastic Idea and you are already off to a flying start, we are only in our 3rd week of the year and look how many already.
Do you have Sparkle Janes blog link tho, Tried clicking on her name and 🙂 it isn’t a link.
Cheers, Cindy.
🙂 Me again, scrap the above, i just found her blog, via Quilts for sale. That is fantastic, that mother and daughter are doing this. 🙂
You’ve inspied me to set a goal for each week too… I will try one “new”block a week, so I will learn “new” techniques and then make them into “something” to sell at our Grandmothers 2 Grandmothers in Africa sales….or another charity…. So far, I’ve done 6 blocks in 4 weeks…hurrah!
The quilts are lovely.I’m impressed with your commitment. I have always taken pics of my quilts from the beginning because Like a writer above, I don’t remember what I made.lol I donate quilt tops to a locate organization called COTS and children’s quilts to the Quilts for Kids organization. This year however, I’m working on quilts for my grandson who is in the Coast Guard in Florida and one for my son and daughter in law here in Sebastopol.
I love all the quilts butterfly Stars is great. I love all the scrappy ideas you have. Thanks so much for sharring your tallent.
You are so giving. What a very thoughtful thing to do. You’ve inspired me.
What a great thing to do! Love the quilts.
Amazing accomplishment, you have more then given back. Take a bow.
Lovely! Do you have a pattern or instructions for #23 Turnaround?
#23 is a variation on a pattern called Roundabout from the book Another Bite of Schnibbles by Carrie Nelsen. I thought Sparkle Jane’s turned out beautifully.
Enjoy!
Impressive! Do you have a ‘project’ planned for 2016?
You certainly inspire me… Great variety.
Wow, how beautiful! Thank you for the inspiration!
