Blue Blocks

Cutting has turned into sewing as I get started on the blue quilt.

Considering that this blog is Wedding Dress BLUE and that cobalt blue is my favorite color, I have made very few blue quilts.

But, blue is the favorite color of both the bride and groom, Yes, this one is for yet ANOTHER 2020 wedding. Amazing! With all the hard things this year has brought, there is much joy also.

Based on THIS pattern, with a modified border. You can see another version HERE.

  1. Love your “blue” quilt, blue is also my favorite color. Strange – I have not made a blue quilt either. Nor have I used a blue theme in decorating my homes. As of today, that has changed. Thank you. I tried the “here” to see another version and it did not work.

  2. I love BLUE, and I love these bear paws. This is a pretty arrangement. I just made a yellow bear paw quilt top and sew the paws on point and put 9 patches in between. I loved it so much now I am making one in green….. now I think I will make one in all blues as well.
ps: I used to dislike yellow…. no specific reason. One day I decided to start liking yellow.
Happy September. I hope all are doing well.
    Here – “thumbs up”

  3. Good morning! I have to say that cobalt blue is one of my very favorite shades of blue, and your blocks sure look lovely. Those centers with their pops of color along with a bit of lighter blue in the paws sure is appealing. ~smile~ Roseanne
