The Halfway Quilt has 56 blocks. I have 29 complete.
There are 14 each of 4 different blocks styles. Here are styles ONE and TWO, all together.
I will keep pushing along. It will be finished soon.
PS–Can you see what makes this quilt unique? TIP-all the blocks have the exact same pieces–28 HST.
I can see that the HSTs are not the same size, nor arranged the same way. Can’t wait to see it put together and what the final design looks like!
This is going to be such an interesting quilt, happy stitchibng!
Deanna, these blocks are amazing. they looks super “complicated” but wowie, just a pile of hsts. I have piles of them too. Fantastic!
I like this block in both of the ways that you presented . Hoping that this will be a pattern that you offer.
I am finishing up an Irish Stars king sized quilt……a bit behind all of the others, but I ABSOLUTELY love it!
Congratulations on reaching the halfway point (+1!). It looks fabulous, and I know some of my pieces went into it, which makes me really happy. Either one, or both together, great design. I will be working on more Star Kissed this week – a blue point block.
I don’t know how you manage all those tiny pieces…it would drive me bonkers! Can’t wait to see the finished quilt.
Hi Deana, Are these blocks like the ones you made a few years ago? The quilt you referred to as the Nervous Breakdown Quilt? lol I made quite a few blocks and completely enjoyed doing so. Someday I hope to get them sewn together. I love following your quilting journey. Thank you.
Great start! The block variation will keep the eye moving.
That is so much un and a lot of little pieces! I can’t wait to see it finished. Do you think you will make a tutorial for this block? Happy sewing.
I used to follow your blog but it got lost. Found it again! This is such a great idea for a quilt; I have a drawer full of different size HSTs and this would work so well! I wait to see how the whole quilt turns out.
